WHO I AM
In the early years of my childhood, I followed my father on his tractor as he worked on cultivating some fields of "Patate della Sila" (Sila Potatoes). A few years ago, I obtained a degree in Business Engineering (2005 - University of Calabria). During my academic life, I have always been more interested in numbers, mathematics, and economy in general than anything else. Naturally, my thesis had to be about potatoes. From 2003 to 2007, I worked in the real estate sector, trying to remain serious, but it didn't last long. After being proclaimed as the "Best Tecnocasa Seller 2006 Calabria Basilicata," I gave up suits and ties and went back to wearing my jeans and colorful polo shirts. 2008 was my first sabbatical year, which I dedicated to getting to know some beautiful women dressed in white in various hospital facilities in the province of Cosenza (visiting surgery and oncology departments here and there), and during recovery, I wrote a book: The Cultivation of Potatoes: Technique, Economy & Marketing, Boopen Publisher 2009. Out of love for good food and dipping bread in sauce, in 2012, the first food store with the sign Mini Discount Simple Price was born. Always passionate about economics and commerce, I enjoy shopping and am curious about new technologies and the web. Creative and ironic, I smile a lot and I don't like people who shout.
In 2013, I opened a market in the territory of the municipality of Parenti in the province of Cosenza, near the beautiful mountains of Sila. If you are wondering why I decided to open a small shop at a time when small businesses are closing in favor of large shopping centers, keep reading. My experience in sales is not recent: I have been working in this sector for over 3 decades, first in the sale of agricultural products, then in real estate, and since 2013 I have put my passion and experience at the service of those who believe that eating healthy is above all about health. I am convinced that I can offer a useful service to meet the demand of an increasing number of consumers who pay attention to the quality and origin of products. In an outlying area where the nearest shop is a twenty-minute drive away, it becomes necessary to offer adequate spaces for consumers looking for the best (and lowest) prices and the best (and widest) assortment. Prezzo Semplice's future mission is to expand the number of products coming from the local area and the Southern Italy in order to support the country's economy, and by leveraging new web-based technologies, increase the number of satisfied customers.
